Abby Feinknopf is a self-taught, mixed-media artist focusing on fabric collage, fabric books, needlepoint design, watercolor illustration and fabric illustration
utilizing repurposed sweaters. Her art is a direct reflection of her childhood inspirations: growing up in the hills of West Virginia, family story telling, her
Grandfather's watercolor paintings, and the Chinese relics from her mother's childhood in pre-war Hong Kong.

Abby holds a B.A. in English from West Virginia University, and has enhanced her education through numerous mixed-media workshops across the country, focusing on fabric, photo-transfer, metal found objects and the needle arts.

Abby has been featured in numerous magazines and newspapers and has exhibited her work in several Ohio galleries and the Textile Museum in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has taught fabric-related workshops at the Ohio Craft Museum and in the Bexley School system. She is currently building a line of needlepoint designs geared toward children, with the addition of self-finishing accessories.

Abby resides in Columbus, Ohio with her husband and two sons. She remains an active member of the Ohio Art League (OAL), the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and The National Needle Arts Association (TNNA).
